Generous hosts and hearty breakfasts
During my stay at The Woodszz Guest House, I was welcomed with a delightful breakfast featuring quality ingredients, making each morning a treat. The hosts, Jamie and Kerry, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, from providing a parking pass to adding special touches in the room.
Honestly, I had no issues during my stay—it was truly enjoyable without any drawbacks!

The Deluxe King Suite had a decent layout although I wouldn't say it was particularly grand. I appreciated having the option to make a hot drink in my room, though I'd have preferred a better choice of pillows.
The room size can feel cramped, especially when you consider the slightly wonky bathroom floor that made things wobbly. I also found the noise from the common areas quite intrusive, particularly with doors slamming and chatter echoing up the stairs. A little touch-up on the curtains and a missing tie-back hook would help the overall aesthetic. Plus, parking is an additional expense, which is annoying when you’d expect it included.

Great stay overall, but the bed was a bit too hard for me.

Blimey, what a stay! The brekkie was top-notch, with a right choice of fresh fruit, juices, and proper cooked dishes. Kerry was a gem, sorting us out with parking permits. Only downside was the ensuite felt a bit cramped, but all in all, a proper winner!

The final verdict on this
A delightful stay! The host was incredibly friendly and provided a parking pass on arrival. The property boasts a modern decor and cleanliness. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring plenty of choices, including kippers! Just a short walk to the beach and town center makes this spot ideal. Would certainly return!

A nice choice for a fleeting pause in Whitby with good value for cost. Enjoyed the quick service at breakfast where they made my toast just right. Parking can be tricky, so maybe drop off bags first before hunting for a spot.

The room was super spacious with loads of storage, which was awesome. The bed and pillows were really comfy, and I loved that they had a Tassimo machine for drinks. The blackout curtains were a nice touch too. Breakfast was decent, though a menu would’ve helped—they did whip up my scrambled eggs quick! Just wish the sausages were better, but that’s a minor quibble overall.
